Teaching Overview

I teach courses in strategy, entrepreneurship, and sustainability. My teaching emphasizes case-based learning and active discussion, helping students develop frameworks for navigating complex strategic decisions.

Current Courses

MIE 306 – Managing Ethics in Organizations (Undergraduate). North Carolina State University, Poole College of Management (Fall 2025).

New course preparation. Organizations today face increasing pressure to navigate complex stakeholder expectations around sustainability, governance, and technology. However, leaders often lack frameworks for analyzing these challenges systematically. This course prepares students to identify stakeholder interests, evaluate strategic trade-offs, and develop principled approaches to decision-making in contested organizational contexts. As a case-based undergraduate course, MIE 306 designed for students who will lead or advise in organizations grappling with environmental, social, and governance challenges. We examine companies including Boeing, FTX, Patagonia, and Uber, and explore questions such as: How do organizations balance competing stakeholder demands? What drives corporate responses to sustainability pressures? How should leaders navigate emerging technology dilemmas, including AI implementation? Throughout, we develop analytical tools for assessing organizational culture, institutional context, and strategic positioning. as well as personal frameworks for principled decision-making.

MIE 310 – Introduction to Entrepreneurship (Undergraduate). North Carolina State University, Poole College of Management (Fall 2026).
